Fundraising

The Role of Fundraising
The Club has a Fundraising Team made up of parents from within all levels of the Club. The role of the Fundraising Team is to try and help the gymnasts and their parents at ALL levels by way of small financial awards to help soften the blow of the costs that can be incurred competing for both the club and the country for those in the Club. We also raise funds for specific things that may assist the coaches like special equipment.

The Fundraising Team is run as a separate financial entity to the affairs of the club and holds its own bank account which is controlled by nominated members of the team. All the monies generated by the Team go directly into the fundraising account with records and accounts of the financial status presented at the regular Team meetings.

Regular Events
Events are planned and run by the Team throughout the year to generate the funds necessary to achieve our stated goals. As well as raising funds, the events also help build a friendly and open environment for everyone to enjoy. The outstanding team spirit within the whole of the Club is an important part of the Spelthorne DNA so we would encourage as many people as possible to come along and support these events.

It goes without saying that there will never be enough funds to help everyone as much as we would like, but even a small award hopefully shows our commitment to our gymnasts and their development at Spelthorne.

Sponsorship
The Fundraising Team are also always keen to talk to potential sponsors for the benefit of both the Club and our gymnasts.

We have a range of packages including local sponsors, corporate sponsors and club sponsorship that we would be very happy to discuss with any interested parties. We believe that supporting the sporting development of children and young people by showing a direct commitment to this belief, speaks volumes for the values of any company no matter how big or small. We can also provide direct benefit to companies through special cabaret displays at conferences and sponsors tickets to our legendary Christmas displays.
