Striving for Gold at the National Qualifiers

On Sunday 7^th March, a number of Spelthorne Gymnasts were competing once again at Sittingbourne, Kent. An important date for our younger gymnasts as those achieving first place would be representing the South East Region at the National Competition being held at Fenton Manor, Stoke on Trent.

Trios and pairs from Angelique’s Advanced Development Group were at the venue – some for the first time - as well as Adam and Kate’s Junior Elite Squad.  The standard was extremely high and our gymnasts all faced a crucial and challenging day.

All the hard work from the Spelthorne coaches and the gymnasts in preparing for this competition was reflected throughout the day with the creditable performances shown by every one of our gymnasts. We were rewarded with 6 of our pairs/groups achieving 1^st position and they will be heading off to Stoke on Trent in May for the National competition.  Well done to everyone who competed on Sunday, especially those entering their first competition.
