Mayor's Cup Competition Report

Hayley Cowler, Elise Godfrey, Bethany Baston and Sasha Carpenter travelled to Bulgaria to compete in the age 11-16 category in the Mayor's cup, an International gymnastics competition in Bulgaria. The event took place in Pravets on 16th and 17th June. Each pair performed 2 routines, one dynamic and one balance on the Saturday and were judged for each one, then performed their balance routines again on the Sunday after which they were given an overall score for all 3 routines.

Beth and Sasha won a bronze medal for their tempo and a silver medal for their balance routine on the Saturday and were then delighted to win another silver medal on the Sunday for their overall performance. Hayley and Elise put in a good performance and came 4th overall, narrowly missing out on a bronze medal.
