While most of us were probably sitting in the warmth, enjoying a snow day or just avoiding the sub-zero temperatures, some of our gymnasts and coaches had to venture out. Although I am sure they didn’t mind too much, a chance to compete and secure a place at Nationals.

Sunday was the day for the National Acrobatic Qualifiers in Hastings. For the gymnasts attending it was a big deal. Competing a solid routine here was crucial to qualify for finals and a chance to be named National Champion!

We had another huge team going, 28 gymnasts across the various disciplines.. although some have competed before, for most it was their first time at qualifiers.

Partnerships although young and fairly new to the game, perform with technique, style and most importantly smiles. ? Everyone did fantastically and as always did Spelthorne proud – bagging more medals too to our ever growing collection, and more importantly this time grabbing those qualification spots!
