We always know when summer is upon us, not only do we get the chance to bring out the shorts and t-shirts for that rare bit of sun, but we also have all of our summer displays to enjoy!
Somehow it is June and half way through the year, so about time we had a bit of sun and the chance to perform outdoors! We never know how the British weather is going to treat us, but luckily it held off with the rain and instead gave us glorious sunshine for both Alan Pascoe’s Open Garden Event and the Shepperton Village Fair. It definitely helps bring out the crowds and the supporters for our young gymnasts.
First up was the Open Garden Event, we were privileged enough to be asked back to show off our gymnastic routines to Sunbury and beyond. Elite, Grade and Mini Squads performed a variety of routines and wowed the crowds. A fab day of gymnastics, showing off our new 2018 World Champions and our rising stars of the future. A fun day had by all, gymnasts, parents, coaches and crowds.
Next up was Shepperton Village Fair. An event we have attended for many years, a chance to appeal to the local crowds and drum up more budding gymnasts for Spelthorne Gymnastics Club. A home crowd for many, so a very familiar event, however our gymnasts performed like professionals as always. A great way to show off the routines these young gymnasts spend months practicing on. For some of our Mini’s who are still too young to compete at competitions, it is a great way to gain experience, and confidence in-front of crowds and to have fun and demonstrate their gymnastic ability. We are very happy with how both events went, we had a lot of fun and are proud of all of our gymnasts… we are sure all of you are too!
We have put together a few picture galleries from both events. Thank you to Paul Watts, Nigel Clegg and everyone else that contributed by sending in photos 🙂
Enjoy!
