Spelthorne Gymnastics enjoyed an incredible weekend of success at the AGPVI Cup 2026 in Portugal, with our gymnasts producing outstanding performances and bringing home an impressive collection of medals against international competition.

Representing both Spelthorne Gymnastics and Great Britain, our athletes demonstrated exceptional skill, determination and teamwork throughout the event.

Unfortunately, Ruby and Lily experienced an unexpected error during their routine. However, they showed incredible resilience and professionalism to continue and finish the routine strongly. The way they handled the situation demonstrated great character and determination, and the coaching team could not have been prouder of them.

Matylda, Izzy & Ilsa

16th Place

Competing in a very strong category, the trio delivered a fantastic performance with only minor errors and gained valuable international experience.

Team Spirit

Whilst the medals were a fantastic achievement, one of the highlights of the competition was the support shown throughout the team. The encouragement, teamwork and sportsmanship demonstrated by all of the gymnasts truly reflected what Team Spelthorne is all about. It was wonderful to see athletes celebrating each other’s successes and supporting one another through challenges.

Competing internationally is a significant achievement in itself, and every gymnast represented the club with pride, professionalism and determination.

The club would also like to extend a huge thank you to the team at AGPVI Cup for their hospitality and for making everyone feel so welcome throughout the competition.
