Spelthorne Tumblers Shine at GymFest World Cup in Coimbra, Portugal

A huge congratulations to our Spelthorne gymnasts who proudly represented Great Britain at the GymFest World Cup in Coimbra, Portugal, producing an outstanding set of performances throughout the competition.

The championships got off to a fantastic start with qualification rounds, where NatashaSkyla, and Corrado all secured places in their respective finals. Natasha qualified in 1st place, Skyla in 3rd, and Corrado in 7th, setting up an exciting weekend of competition. Natasha also helped Great Britain to victory in the 17+ Team Event, bringing home the team gold medal.

Our younger tumblers also impressed during qualification. Alfred finished in an excellent 4th place, earning his place in the 13–14 Boys Final, while Bertie narrowly missed out on a final place after finishing 9th. Bertie should be incredibly proud of his performance, successfully competing a brand-new tumble pass for the first time in international competition. Alfred and Bertie also contributed to Great Britain’s fantastic Team Gold in the 13–14 Boys Team Event alongside their GB teammates.

Finals day brought even more success for the Spelthorne squad. Skyla produced an outstanding performance to become the 2026 GymFest 15–16 Champion, claiming the gold medal in her age category.

In the boys’ finals, Alfred delivered another confident routine to finish 5th in the 13–14 Boys Final, while Corrado performed a newly upgraded tumble to secure an excellent 6th place in the 17+ Men’s Final.

The weekend concluded in spectacular fashion as Natasha was crowned the 2026 GymFest 17+ Champion, adding the individual gold medal to her earlier team success and rounding off an incredible competition.

Everyone at Spelthorne  is immensely proud of all of our gymnasts. To represent Great Britain on the international stage is a tremendous achievement, and every gymnast demonstrated dedication, determination, and exceptional talent throughout the competition.

Congratulations also go to all of the Great Britain gymnasts, their personal coaches, support staff, and families who helped make this such a successful weekend for Team GB.

We look forward to seeing what the future holds for these talented athletes. Well done to you all!
